Your skin will be a bit irritated after hair removal. This is normal. The longer you sugar, the less your skin will react. Be kind to your skin while it's like this.
Skin on the face tends to stay irritated for a couple hours. Skin on the body tends to show redness or tenderness for a day or two at first, depending on your skin sensitivity. The more often you wax, the finer the hair will get, the weaker the roots will get, and the less your skin will be irritated by the hair being removed.
Between sugaring, your at home care is to exfoliate the area you are removing hair. This both helps the hair to come out easier when you do get sugared and helps prevent ingrown hairs. While the hair is absent, any dead skin cells that sit on the skin can work their way into the pore and block the follicle, causing ingrown hairs. Using a sugar scrub on the body area being sugared three to four times a week will help to prevent this problem. You could also use a body brush. A wash cloth or plastic loofah will not do the proper exfoliating needed though.
Periods- Yes, you can come for a brazilian while on your cycle. Please just wear a fresh tampon or a menstrual cup. I do not care at all. At least once a day, someone has to get their sugaring on their cycle and it's no big deal.
Will it hurt? There is pain as the hair is pulled out and a 5 second sting afterward. If the hair is about a 1/2 inch long, it might drag as the sugar is applied and that can hurt. You may be tender when you leave, but you won't still be in actual pain.
